2 May 2024 Elections

On Thursday 2 May 2024, polling stations across the district will open across from 7am - 10pm and registered voters in Mole Valley can cast their vote. Two elections will be held that day: Mole Valley local elections and the Surrey Police & Crime Commissioner election.

One standing councillor* in each of the 13 wards in Mole Valley will be up for election on the 2 May. A list of candidates standing in each ward is due to be published on our website no later than 4pm on Monday 8 April 2024.

*Two councillors will be up for election in the ward of Capel, Leigh, Newdigate and Charlwood because of a casual vacancy.

The role of the Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner is to oversee how crime is tackled in the county and hold Surrey Police to account on your behalf, to make sure it’s providing a good service.

The Commissioner also works with the Chief Constable to set the overall direction for the force through the Police and Crime Plan and proposes the amount of council tax that will go towards policing from Surrey residents.
