Making Bookham a Plastic Free Community

Meeting Report From Transition Bookham.

We’re very excited to have signed up to the Plastic Free Communities initiative run by Surfers Against Sewage, aimed at reducing single-use plastic.

Our project launch meeting took place on 20th November, when we were delighted to be joined by a wide range of people including representatives from business and organisations across Bookham.

The next step is for us to set up a steering group and plan how to meet the objectives required to gain Plastic Free Community accreditation. We aim to hold our first meeting early in the New Year. If you would be interested in helping steer this project please email us at the address below.

We’ll also be setting up a separate website for Plastic Free Bookham – watch this space for more information! In the meantime:
Find out more about the Plastic Free Communities initiative. You can sign up to an individual plan to reduce your single-use plastic consumption.
