MVDC Re-Opening for Business Guidance

Message from Candida Goulden – MVDC Economic Development Manager

We appreciate that current circumstances have put a lot of pressure and uncertainty on many businesses.  We want to support businesses in our towns, villages and rural areas, following the government’s announcement that non-essential retail can re-open from 15 June.  (At the time of writing the hospitality sector, including restaurants and cafes, hairdressers, barbers, beauty and nail salons must remain closed.)

The Economic Development team at Mole Valley District Council has been contacting retail businesses with guidance (see below) around re-opening for business on 15 June.  In addition, it would be helpful if businesses would please complete this short survey to help us understand their plans and for them to notify us of any help that might be needed.

Management of the street in which businesses are situated may be subject to change to ensure the practical implementation of social distancing and safe management of the public realm.  Further information on this will follow in the coming days.
