Oak Processionary Moth – Update #4 – August 2020

We have received Update #4 from the Forestry Commission on the Oak Processionary Moth.

The moths are active on Bookham Common. Take care when walking with your family and pets.

It’s a good time to spot moths and nests now, and report them to the Forestry Commission. You can do so via their TreeAlert website.

Click on the button below for the update.

In addition to the Forestry Commission update the BRA Tree Wardens have produced a comprehensive guide to the Oak Processionary Moth.

There have already been sightings in the area, and as a reminder they are hazardous to human and animal health. Do not touch or approach OPM nests or caterpillars.
